Get Smart About Dating understands the different and difficult challenges faced by the average single individual over 45 and works with them to meet these challenges head on! Below you can find a series of workshops that are offered to organizations to help their members better understand the dynamics of the over 40 dating scene, while providing tools to help these daters become confident and successful in their search for that perfect match.

Workshop Series

*Facing the Challenges and Opportunities of Dating During your 40s, 50s, 60s and beyond* provides an overview of the challenges and opportunities faced by the mature dater. This workshop addresses how individuals can prepare to get back into the dating scene, learn how to network, how to be successful at on line and speed dating, as well as how to successfully convert each first date into a second one!

*Are you really ready to start dating again? What you need to know before you get out there again* addresses the pre-dating issues; how to mentally prepare for that second time around, how to let people know you are available, how to put your past behind you,  how to become the person people will find interesting and date worthy.

*Networking…How to meet your match through the people you already know....and who they know….and who they know* addresses the way singles can meet without going to an “event”, how people can make the most of their immediate network of friends, family and their connections.

*Speed Dating and On Line Dating….what you need to know…how you can make the most of each dating opportunity” addresses how speed and on line dating works and how it can work best for you.

*You’ve locked in your first date…..now what* helps participants who are just “back in the game” avoid the common first date mistakes, provides first date ideas and suggested venues as well as addresses where you go from there.

All workshops offer suggestions on how to be "Smart and Successful" at dating the second time around. Real life situations are evaluated and alternative options and opportunities are provided. Individuals are welcome to bring in personal experiences for discussion. Although geared toward those 45 and older, all ages can benefit from every workshop.

These events are a mixture of lecture and workshop and run 1 ½ hours. Each one can be modified to best suit your organization’s needs.
